I got the idea for this blog one Friday evening right after my typical OFW dinner consisting of a can of a Filipino sardines and a cup of rice. I was staring at my passport right beside the empty can. Pinoy sardines + passport + an empty plate. Good representations of a plain simple life of a modern “bayaning third world”
Something pinched my heart and knocked my head heavily: Poverty, exclusion, inequality and missed opportunities. Something’s need to be done to fill-in the gap. And so this blog was born.
This blog is about everyone of us. It can be about a person, a family, a community, a country, anything uplifting, inspirational and life-changing stories of literacy, inclusion and empowerment.
I am Jay Olos and this is my blog.
Include. Enlighten. Empower.
